Painting has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
After a long career in technology and business, I made a deliberate choice to build a serious creative practice. Here, I leave the corporate world at the door.
My work is abstract, spanning florals, landscapes, and the spaces in between. I’m drawn to colour, movement, and the way paint can capture a feeling more honestly than a photograph.
My landscapes are most strongly influenced by two places I know intimately: Auckland and Otago. Their unique beauty and the contrast between them runs through everything I paint.

Florals
My floral work is whimsical and lively. Some paintings are abstracted, others closer to reality, there is always a lot of movement. Often there are hidden details for the viewer to find for themselves, ghost flowers and other lovely treasures on offer deep within the works.
Landscapes
Abstracted landscapes portraying not only the forms I see, but also my response to the landscape - how it makes me feel conveyed in colour.
